I am Tired of seeing DW drums

Loading...

I still find this whole thread rediculous as it has no place in a vintage drum forum. Why you may ask? DW's are MODERN drums, NOT VINTAGE.This place is all about VINTAGE DRUMS.

Do I like DW's? No. Have I stated this? Yes. So have others, and others have said the opposite way around. We get it! Some like them and some like myself, do not.

CAN WE PLEASE MOVE ON???

This is for you!!! http://www.dwdrums.com/ Sumo Dude D' Drummer also another thing I find humorous about the person who started this thread, he plays Rogers drums all they where at the time your kit was put together, is an assembly company, the shells are kellers, the hardware they didn't manufacture, all they did was bolt it together, at least DW Really does actually build their shells!! and where's Rogers Now!!!!

Are we really on page three of this??? At least with my settings, we are. Hard to believe. Seems like just yesterday we were all hugging and tossing back a few while we torched an unsuspecting plebe asking about the worth of his mint Ludwig kit. Who ended up stealiing that one from him? Anybody recall? Damn faulty memory. ...and where's that cat of mine!!!

Wow!! I seriously laughed out loud at this one. None of the stereotypical LOL bull-cucka, I mean an ab ripping belly laugh. Pretty good stuff.....

Umm....DW's first drums were nothing but a product of "an assembly company" as you put it. They were Keller shells as well.....its only been since the las 12 or so years that they have made their own shells in house.

And to answer your question as to where Rogers is now....they are currently owned by Yamaha and the name is on an entry level drum. And I beg to differ with your statement about Rogers not making their own hardware back in the day, but yes they did make their own hardware. Ever hear of Swivomatic or Memri-loc hardware? Those were made in house. DW doesn't even make their own hardware now. Its all made overseas by a foreign company to DW's specs, the DW name slapped on it and then imported back to us.

Now, can we get back to VINTAGE DRUM talk PLEASE???

I have nothing but respect for DW.They,ve done nothing wrong that i can see,and even if they did [imo]who am i to critisize? Its a new industry now and things are different right across the board.Learn to live and roll with the changes and please stop picking on companies doing thier best to accomodate you.
