Most likely the files were larger than the max size allowed (see attached image). Can you reduce the size and try reposting? I'm not interested in purchasing the kit as it's way out of my price range, but I would love to see photos of an all original Camco.

No way I'd drop that change on anything not sold on ebay. Good luck if something goes wrong!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Just received 2 pictures of Bob's Camco kit. Here they are, re-sized and compressed to upload on VDF. Bob also let me know that the kit is for sale at Steve Maxwell's NYC location.

I recently sold a Camco Oaklawn Tuxedo 20/16/12 and matching snare for well under $2k.

Two huge differences there , 1 that yours was a Tuxedo set and 2 the sizes . Both of these make a big difference in the value . Apples and oranges ...

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

Welcome to the forum Pottersville100 and good luck on the sale, and thanks to Mark for uploading the photos.

If the parts are all original and the wrap in good shape, the price is achievable in my view based on what I've seen of recent Camco sales, and that particularly because of the 14x18 bass, the 14x14 floor tom and matching Aristocrat snare. Is the bass drum wrap uniform in color to the other drums? The first picture is not clear on that, though the second looks like they all match nicely. Clearly, these would be great sounding drums!

By contrast, I got the same kit in Rogers a couple of months back on auction for just under $2k including shipping, but the jet black wrap was toast - literally falling off the bass drum and having a lot of rash and general damage on the toms. The snare was also a COB Dynasonic (complete down to the black elastics and quite nice), which would tend to have a value quite a bit below that of a Camco wood shell snare from that era. Otherwise the kit is original down to the last tension rod and had all the original heads in good shape except for those of the bass drum. So I was comfortable with the price.

Because of the general value of the kit, I've had Precision replace the wrap, but won't have a follow-up photo until I get back to the US in December.

Overall though, Rogers prices do not rise nearly to the level of Camco and Gretsch in these sizes. The Camco and Gretsch prices are very high and very close to each other from what I've seen. So folks must be pretty satisfied with those drums for the prices to be sustained at that level.
