Transisition/transitional IDK. I didn't get my user name just to be cute.

Didnt mean to cause a turmoil here. All I asked for was trans stamp 411 & the way I got my user name..........NOW IF YOU WILL EXCUSE ME I gotta put a piece of duct tape underneath that trans stamp ride to kill the overtones.

There was no turmoil here. Just a discussion among friends with a few lame, perhaps confusing, references. Enjoy the trans stamp, with or without duct tape.Eye Ball

Redneckdrum- I'd really like to see some pictures of your cymbals. Trans stamps are my favorite Zildjians (next to first stamps).

I demand pics! Jumping2

No drama dude. We are just play`n with the content.

You did get a reply to your question. Drumaholic and Bill Hartrick are not really on speaking terms right now but he will get back to you on that answer. He always does. ......... Patience !i

No turmoil. Just a little kidding around.

Anyway I like rednecks. Salt of the earth.

OK,IYO who is a good cymbal expert on the TRANS STAMP subject I could send photos to? Also to ask if there were 2 types of tran's.Just came across another one today. The 'Z' & the 'Co' are stamped heavy on this one but stamp looks all different. I'll try to put photos on here when I learn how(I think my files are too big).

Last I heard Drumaholic has identified at least 4 sub types of Transitional Stamp. Last I heard the information remains unpublished so we don't benefit from it as a community. That's because of people who stole his work without giving him proper credit. But be aware that I don't keep super close track *wink* so I won't necessarily be right up to date.

He's the man to contact, which you can do here via a Personal Message (PM) to work out email addresses (until you learn about posting photos and how to resize them). There isn't anybody else for the job as far as I know.

Since Drumaholic was the one who originated the naming conventions a number of years ago, for both A and K Zildjian cymbals, he is the final arbiter on all things Zildjian. However, a number of us here, while not possessing nearly as much knowledge as Bill, have together a reasonable working knowledge of vintage Zildjians. What do you want to know about Trans stamps? Fire away.
