I am very familiar with these cymbals (I have a few). My question is why do they call it a Transisition stamp and what year(s) were they on cymbals?

Anyway I've never heard of a Transisition [sic] stamp.

What's that?

Is that anything like a Transitional stamp?

Transisition/transitional IDK. I didn't get my user name just to be cute.

Right. And when you get done with his, then you can do yours......"ZILDJIAN".

It seems your sarcasm on the trans stamps may be lost on a couple of people on this thread. Perhaps you should enlighten them about where the name actually came from, unless you want Rob Scott to get the credit.

We all know there is only one Zildjian God. Everyone else including Scott is just a saint.

or Winnie "Hidehitters". :D

Worthwhile observation Mark. I was keeping quiet until you spoke out.

Alas, sarcasm doesn't inform new readers to this thread who are not in the know about the history. They won't even know it is sarcasm, just as they won't even know that other web sites stole Dramaholic/Bill Hartrick's work without giving credit (and got several of the names wrong in the process). Victory goes to those who get the most hits on a Google search. You can rail against that but it won't change things.

Google hits,,,,Google s-h-i-t-s.

I'll set the record straight for everybody someday.

And I would be very hurt if my sarcasm was to go un-recognized or under-appreciated. I work hard at it.

And I will contunue to rail until the rails wear out, or I retire....whichever comes first.

I loved your "rail" reference Bill, although like your sarcasm not everyone will get it.

Actually, I claim time priority for the first use of "rail" with respect to Bill (and his occupation) in this particular thread. But it doesn't work as well when you have to explain it.

Right. Apologies. I was running out when I read your earlier post. I need to train myself to read more carefully.Lame
