Though I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the posts on this thread, I must admit that I am not quite clear on something. What era were the 1 3/8" stamps from? Just curious, because I have a pair of 13" New Beats with that stamp, which I bought at a thrift store for a rediculously low price as part of a kit that included a chrome CB700 snare, an 18" Pearl floor tom converted to a kick mounted on a Danmar stand, and various misc. hardware. Paid $85 for all. :D

This thread is specifically about transitional or trans stamps dating from the latter '40s thru the early '50s. As mlayton said, New Beats are from the '60s or later.
