Interesting in that he always used a Rogers hi hat stand....

It was the 2 piece footboard, right?

Thanks.

Here's another cool Bonham site. I have other drummers that I like, so I promise I won't be "that Bonham guy", but he's one of my faves. I was looking for a a Ludwig bass drum mounting plate for a 67 hollywood in the "for sale" section when I came across this thread. I wanted to help clarify a bit, if possible.

Not familiar with the footboard of that hat stand, but it looks like in general he preferred the swivomatic hardware , which is funny because the 67 I have came with swivomatic mounts, etc. I guess you either love em or hate em. I personally hate them. My fave hardware is late 80s/early 90s Pearl. Simple. Strong. Light.

Anyway . . .

cheers

Not sure what to say ... Thought this one was put to bed a long time ago. One of the combatants has left the field of battle and is now walking the field of honor. We should probably let it be and move on.

Yeah. Sorry. Just replying to the other guy's interest in JB's drum dimensions. I thought I'd point him to a site I found helpful. Wasn't really interested in combat, but fair enough.

I'll stay away from this thread.

Yep, no combat intended. I just remembered reading this thread about a 24" bass black sparkle kit that was claimed to be his last kit ordered. But so far nobody knows anything else about it. I'm beginning to think that this is unverifiable.

On the last Bonham site mentioned>(ALS) ,they mention that Jeff Ocheltree has 1 of Bonham's Green Sparkle kits........well,he does, but he bought it from me!

Around 12-14 years ago I sold him a virgin 14" by 26",10" by 14" mounted and 2 -16's (1 was faded a bit on 1 side). He also bought a Ludwig 70's rail from me at the same time to drill onto the BD..

This is the kit Jeff uses in his video, but found a 18" FT somewhere........

If you listen close,he starts out with "This is "a" John Bonham drumkit".......not "this is John Bonham's drumkit".

The kit is on Japanese drum magazine. Do you wanna see pics?
