Hey Chimpkin,What you have is one of the rarest finishes that slingerland made.Your set is the second set in that color of oyster pink Pearl i have seen in 30+ year's in dealing and selling vintage drums. The size's of the drum's look like to me 10x12,10x13 mounted tom's,floor tom 14x16 bass 14x20 snare 5x14..Slingerland only had that finish from 1966-68 and it did not sell well at all--just like Ludwig's O.P.P.--Even with the tom's being single headed i would say your set would be worth anywere from 2,500.00 to 3,000.00 now if the tom's were double headed your drum's would be worth 3,000.00 to 4,000.00 and maybe more...Mikey
Yard Sale Slingerland kit!
FIVE DOLLARS?!?!?!
Good LORD!
After reading what this set has been identified as, my advice would be to take great care to not scratch up the wrap by nesting the drums. They appear to have been a rather seldom-used "indoor" kit fro the looks of them. The black paint on the bass drum hoops looks unscathed. And with the original logo front head, it may have never ever been removed from the drum since they were new.
Five dollars......
FIVE dollars....
five?

Ahhhh...those quirky drum gods do have a sense of humor dont they?Coffee Break2
The lady I bought them from said they were in her basement untouched for at least 25 years. The outer bass drum ring is in good shape the inner not so much. I'm going to buy a plain black wooden ring to use on the inside so I don't cause any more damage to the original ring.
You also have to think, when I bought these for 5 dollars they were so dirty I couldn't even tell what color they were. I had to lick my finger and rub the badge on the bass drum to see what brand it was. They were all stuffed into a cubby in a kitchen.
The snare didn't even look chrome. It was brown.
Diamond in the rough friend...You must have really enjoyed transforming them into what they are!!..Thats what its all about...nothing moreExcited

They sell all the same hoops everyone else does and they are by far the lowest ion the internet. You can buy 2 new 12 ply hoops for around 50 bucks shipped and then paint them witha quality spray. Seal the wood first. If you buy a painted one, you will pay more than 50 for just one....
