yup. just now. I'm hoping that he'll take the money and really discover what these vintage kits can do. They are amazing works of art.

I like the looks of the kit...

on a side note, I wonder what happened to all the rings and hardware that were removed during the 80s...

I decided to take the advice of mcjnic and try to sell it to someone who will appreciate it and use it more than me. Not to mention as quick as my luck came by finding this kit, it went away by getting a bill in the mail. i've had a lot of interest and everyone wants to see those inner shells so I posted updated pics to show some really high res, close up shots of it.

The story goes like this. The people I bought them from said they didn't paint them. They were the original owners. They would have had to remove all the hardware and lugs, tape off the wrap on the outside (to avoid overspray) and intentionally paint them pink. Might I add that this was a young boy who owned the kit in the 60's. And, three of the original heads were still on the drums. Maybe someone can shed some light. The paint job looks too good to be a homemade job.

Hey demonlarry, the toms aren't drilled for bottom heads. They are concert toms. All original hardware is pictured.

I know that.

I was just wondering where all the pieces went from non-concert toms, from all the kids removing them because they weren't cool in the 80s...

stream of consciousness, that's all
