The Pioneer is an under-rated gem. I played mine (red sparkle) at a jam session last week. Deep, musical tone; it sounds like a bigger drum.

I still say bite the bullet and re-wrap it in gold sparkle. If it gets you what you want, then go for it. It won't make it any less valuable since pioneer snares are not that valuable anyway. And to be honest, that WMP isn't that nice....it has gone green.......go ahead, re-wrap it...you know you want to....x-mas3

I have some original gold sparkle from the 1960's that was taken off a bass drum. I might sell.

I think nickel harware and gold sparkle would look sick though. But, then again I need a WMP snare...hmmmmmm...should I buy it...should I not. How about this. You keep it ho it is and I'll hunt down a nice gold sparkle snare for you for cheap?
