I was on 45 day RV trip last summer, and when on the road, i like to snif around for old drums obviously and i came across some old vista shells in bad shape other than the 13" that was complete. I have a bunch of hardware and parts in one of the belly bins just in case. When we stop for the night, i crack open a beer and work for an hour on restoring whatever i pick up. Here is the finished product that cost me a total of $325 including all the parts and shells. Ludwig shells (BD cracked and previously repaired), FT previously a concert tom fitted with misc. lugs and legs while the 13" was complete and original. We leave again in a wk. I can't wait to see what i will stumble upon this time. We leave Canada and head straight down to Jacksonville before making our way towards Louisiana.

14"x 22" with a crack on the bottom that was repaired with fiberglass. That forced me to put a super thin blanket inside the BD to hide the scar. Plus the FT was a CT so because it is 14"x 16", it makes the BD look bigger.

Old picture just after I found them... they are stored right now. Added a clear bass drum, a clear snare, and a blue 16” floor tom... that green is an 18”.

Not a Guru... just interested..
