Those will be superb! If they aren't already!

My 74ish Pro Beat, I've parted ways with the snare since this picture was taken. Just don't care for the sound of an acrylic snare, not near enough body for my taste. I sold it to help pay for a snare I'll actually use. Most of the time these sit in my basement, I very rarely take them out to gigs. They are a little too loud and bright for most of the rooms I play, and I hate exposing my nicer kits to the rowdy bar scene.
Beautiful drums! Bet they sound killer.

I have always been sort of gun shy with buying Vistalite drums
always worried I would shovel out good dough and end up with cracked shells
Finally I stumbled on this players grade "partial" kit for short money
22" bass drum w/only one 1/2"spur, two cracked spur brackets and no resonant side hoop, head, rods, or claws
16"floor tom just missing reso t-rods and leg rubbers
No 12" or 13" mounted tom only a 14" concert tom with the mounting bracket gaffed on
and for a snare I got an orange peel Acro
Anthony down at Village drum had some used Ts and claws
my pal Johnnie in New Jersey had a hoop
and I won an ebay auction for a 13" tom
They have some lite to moderate scratches but far as I can tell no cracks
I still need one 1/2" spur bracket and a proper resonant head on the bass drum
Then I will disassemble, clean, and detail them
at some point I may add a 12" tom
just to get the badges turned around toward the front
but not that important to me either way
I replaced the acrolite with an old supra which I already owned
That's always my concern when looking at Vistalites. Is either they are cracked or have been " repaired ". I'm happy the set I got doesn't have any cracks or even spider webs. Another drummer from our show last night also had a Vistalite kit, and we got all into the nuances of owning one, as well as the fact that RCI makes pretty much every acrylic shell on the market today. Regardless of whose brand name may be on the drums.
Jay is that Toads Place your playing at? Nice drums too.
Yes it is Glenn and thank you.
Some nice looking specimens here for sure!!
Cheers
