OK... I just looked online. You don't say where in Minnesota the drums are. The online calculator tells me that Minneapolis is 1432 miles from Boise. If you were driving to get the drums, you would need to allow three days (two overnight stays) to get there, load up the drums, and drive home. It's a good weather time of the year. That should be a pleasant use of a few vacation days if you had pleasant travelling mates.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

1375 miles one way for me. Not really a viable option with gas, time off hotels etc.

Offer to pay them more to pack them properly.

They WILL NOT pack it properly so you are taking a BIG risk by have these goons do that for you. NO way would I go that route. It WILL arrived damaged. I'd do the road trip. You may even find more drums on the journey to get those with some research & hunting. Best of luck sir!

I'm with Mark on this. I just would not trust them to properly pack this kit up. Yes, it's really going to be a miracle if nothing gets broken during shipping!

As to the snare drum, it sure looks like a Rogers Dynasonic to me, which makes sense when you take into account that the kit is from the 60's.

Best of luck to you. Please let us know their condition on arrival.

Nice find. I'm feeling '64-'65 for that kit. I think you'll find some date stamps! Let us know and good luck with the shipping.

Found out there is another drum in the box that was not shown in the auction. Hope it is another tom. Still have not found any arrangement to get these shipped

There are quite a few smaller pack & ship storesin MN that are not UPS or FedEx. Although I'm not sure where your drums are in MN, if you Google it, they are there. Maybe they can help.

So you paid for these drums over two months ago, and they are just sitting at the estate or in a barn or something? Man, you would think the guys running the sale would have had this figured out...

So it only took 11 months to finally get these drums delivered to me. I am pretty happy with what they turned out to be. They are a complete 64 Gene Krupa Deluxe NO1 set, but with the 20 13 16 14 option. Everything is original. slinger sound king heads on all the drums,(4 were in good shape) Single ply matching snare. Original stands(three with stickers still in good shape) Original Zildjian A's 18 and 14hats. Throne, pedal. Only missing the cymbal top part on the Bass drum cymbal mounted arm. One screw on stand and one push button screw on floor tom leg mount.

The drums sound great but of course there is cracking near the lugs because they are Satin Flame.

A long wait but glad to get them and play them.
