To each his own, Carl Palmer has always been one of my favorite drummers.

Man at his prime id like to of seen someone beat his solo off my favorite album brain salad

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

It was obviously recorded with a small camera. I thought it was interesting, like being on the stage while he performed.

As a teenage hard rocker in 1973 banging away to Black Sabbath, Grand Funk, Deep Purple, etc., Brain Salad Surgery blew me away when I first heard it. I had never heard a rock drummer play like Carl Palmer before. It opened my eyes (and ears) to the progressive and fusion rock that was emerging at that time (anyone remember Mahavishnu Orchestra?).

Maybe C.P. is not the player he once was, but try to name a more technically advanced rock drummer in 1973. He's still one of my favorites of all time.

Try and make that stick save in the video,...

Show me the way to go home, I`m tired and I wanna go to bed, I had a littler drink about an hour ago, and it went strait to my head. Wherever I may roam, by land by sea or phone, you can always hear me singing this song, show me the way to go home, Bomp Bomp bomp !

Does anyone know the kit he used to record that first Asia album? I simply love that sound. My favorite along with Phil Ehart on Kansas' Leftoverture.
