I'll start with this snare that I found at the 2015 Chicago Drum Show. It was wrapped in BDP, wearing Rogers hardware. I stripped it, sanded and cleared the shell. Found some original Ludwig flat Imperial lugs, and had them rechromed. Added the "Drumjinx" badge, as a tribute to my dear friend Jerry Jenkins.

This drum is a prototype made by Alan Blaemire himself. It is made from a phenolic plastic material and has WFL lugs. It sounds like a metal drum to me. It was one of Alan's experiments. Alan gave the drum to Jerry and then Jerry sold it to me. Like I say, just happen to look in the for sale section one night and saw this drum plus two others Jerry was letting go. If I remember correctly the three drums sold in less than an hour as you would imagine. I am extremely happy to have possession of this drum, it will never be sold or traded as long as I am alive and healthy.

Gregg that double kick set that you showed in the Monster kit thread is totally awesome, you certainly deserve it!

Yes, Jerry had acquired the shell from Allen, it was already drilled. Jerry found all the hardware that fit the holes, and put it back together. As far as the monster kit, Bermuda Schwartz owns that kit now, he bought it off Jerry when he started letting everything go. They were all power toms that Bermuda has now cut down to traditional sizes. He gigs them out locally.

The Level Sealer is great stuff.

A lot of work getting those pin holes covered.

A lot of coats AND...sanding.

But WOW man. Your finish is like glass.

I love your attention to detail.

Not a green shell.

An old amber shell with many defects in it.

I tinted it Ruby Red to keep it un-wrapped and to hide the dog hairs and dust in the resin.

FYI: I have a lot of Blaemires.

Just one here. It too is an original Blaemire drum. Small concert tom, 5.5x8. Black Nitron wrap with Gretsch lugs and a Ludwig mount. Looks like new. When I bought it, it was within 5-10 miles of Mr. Blaemire's home .
