Thanks Glenn, I had to cancel the keller shell, it was too thin, So I am looking again for a Slingy shell. I guess it dont matter when these get done so I will wait for the correct drum shell.

He bought all the Slingerland equipment. He can make exactly what you want.

Joe, thanks for the suggestion. I have thought about that, I have met Bernie a few times, very nice guy. Im just not sure I want to spend the money it would take to have him make me one. And, an actual five ply from the seventies would be the best, my wife thinks I need to be more patient, shes right. But I might ask Bernie anyway.

Jeff I was just seeing some Slingerland shells on the Slingerland Facebook page. Not sure if it's what your looking for but worth looking I guess.

I will take a look on facebook, I did actually post a wanted add there as well today. And I did contact Stone custom drum, they do not sell to the general public but they gave me a lead to someone that could get it for me, so waiting on the cost.

Glenn, I will look at the show this spring for sure.

I mentioned you to the guy on FB. He said he was gonna contact you. You're not nuts you just know what you want. Nothing wrong with that. It's just hard because you want to finish it probably. It will happen. Then once it's done you'll start seeing those floor toms for sale all over the place! Ha!

I have a set of 1980 slingerland spirit shells for 150 if you're interested. 12,13,16,22. They've all been painted black but are structurally sound and probably the same shell comp.
