These are Bluetiful, John!!!

Bluetiful! Best one yet. I would paint a 'Blue Meanie' on it somewhere if it wasn't so 60's/Beatles. A Blue Meanie would look killer on there! For anyone too young to know what a Blue Meanie is:

John i can`t add any more here than has already been said but gud` God man what a trip down memory lane...to see those babies back in the present time is like watching Rod Serling`s Twilight Zone. Now if i could just get in a time machine i`d go back and pick up a set just like yours-no words can describe your restoration and even less words can describe the"Big Blue Meanies" set.

Very impressive all around John. A significant effort and a fantastic outcome. Seems to me you ought to try to hook up with someone doing period films as another means to preserve its history. Maybe a call to Ken Burns?
Now for the big question: What's next?
LOL - How do I follow that act? The answer is; you don't! I'll just rest on my laurels for now and enjoy the moment. There is simply no follow up grandiose enough to compete with a one-of-a-kind anything. Big Blue stands alone. Probably the most important restoration I have ever done, or ever will do again. One-of-a-kind kits are a once-in-a-lifetime experience if you're lucky enough to get the opportunity. Finding this kit was a combination of blind luck, karma and being in the right place at the right time and ready. Those elements don't often coincide. I caught a Cosmic Wave...

You don't gig a 'museum piece'. I -will be- playing the hell out of it while it's in my protective custody however.
That's right John, this is a museum piece! It must be nice to just sit back and admire your resto job. I applaud.........a job well done. Yes Sir
Thanks Greg... *a special drum-thingy antique is boxed and ready to go out to you. As soon as I can drive over to the P.O. I'll get it on it's way west. Enjoy when it arrives! You're going to flip when you see it. :D
John
Now this is beautiful. Really.
What a majestic kit!
> What a majestic kit!
That's what, Jeremy the current owner of W&A drums calls it too! It -is- Majestic! Big, Grand, LOUD and a ton of fun to play. :p
