Mark - Every time I sit down to play it, I think the same thing. A kit this elaborate had to be played in a big-band and probably Jazz. Jeremy, the current owner of W&A says it's definitely a kit designed for a Jazz band. I can see that. I wish it had come with a Bands logo/name on the head. It would have gone a long way to answering many mysteries about this old kit. It's really something though. High quality drums that sound like it. They are very responsive. I love some of the tones I can pull out of the toms.

For the 'cherry on the cake' finishing touch, Creighton is sending me two custom ink-stamps so I can stamp the W&A company logo's on the bass drum head, the toms, and the snare. Jeremy, the current owner of W&A Drum Co. supplied the artwork and approved the use of his company's logo on the kit. So, thank you, Creighton and thank you, Jeremy. (W&A)

Photos of the heads when they've been stamped!

John, this is a really cool set of drums. You did an awesome restoration on them. Very classy. I honestly don't know much about these drums but when i think of "vintage drums" these are what i would picture in mind. I've been keeping an eye on this thread and also read through your restoration thread on this set, very interesting stuff. thank you for sharing with us.

Very cool set of drums you have here my friend, im proud for you.

Hi John,

The W/A kit you refinished looks great!

So pleased we connected and those drums went in the right direction.

It was great to see them set up.

All the best. - Gus
