Boys - Thank you all for the great compliments. It was just pure fun to work on this kit. Not a second of it ever felt like 'work.'

Lucky - I'm 66 buddy. I haven't played out with a working band in three years. These days I play daily for my own pleasure and occasionally I get to jam with other musicians. Even if I was still actively gigging, I would -never- take Big Blue out on a gig. As pretty as she is, she's a house-kitty. Too rare to risk taking to a gig even if it was a classy joint. Too many things can happen during packing, transporting, the gig itself and then later more packing and traveling... too many opportunities for mass destruction! LOL :p

You don't gig a 'museum piece'. I -will be- playing the hell out of it while it's in my protective custody however.

To say that you have outdone yourself is an understatement for sure. I am truly impressed at the skills and talent taken to bring this beautiful kit to this level.

Well done sir!

I haven't followed the whole thread, you have calf on them I assume, how do they sound??

Take the time to read the entire thread. There's even a short sound file of the floor toms. I haven't added a sound file for the kit yet because I only just completed it and because I have a ton of clean-up and reorganizing to do before I'm set-up to play and record. As soon as I'm able, I'll make a little video/sound file so you can hear em.

I have calf on the reso's but the batters are all REMO Emperors. The bass drum is all calf.

BunE - Sweet kit indeed!

Randy - Thanks... :D
