Thanks again for all the nice comments. No time to install badges/hardware until at least Sunday. Until then, the drums are just staring at me in all of their awesome-ness from across the room.

To answer questions: Wrap can be cut with an exacto knife or a super super sharp industrial craft shears. Feathering is done with a file, a lot of elbow grease, and a lot of time. I painted the interiors with a foam brush....it worked very nicely. I would have sprayed, but I don't have a booth set up (yet) because I live in an apartment! Im very happy with the result.

Re: the 12 inch tom----my drill fits easily inside. I have a Milwaukee tools compact combo driver/drill. It'd be close on a 10, but 12 works great.

Anyone got suggestions on tacking these badges on? Drill tiny pilot holes in original spots, or just tap em through the wrap?

Pilot holes from inside in the original spots would be my method. Avoids breaking out any part of the inner ply.

I did this awhile back with my 70rogers ,...when I wrapped in glitter glass..

Place a small block of wood on the outside wrap where yr gonna drill..

Pre drill from the inside..out..! Use a very very small drill bit.

When installing the nails...to secure the Rogers badge on tightly...

Put all the nails thru...and use a curved piece of wood to hold dwn all the nails heads..while tapping the extras on the inside sideways...

Or use 2 hammers...

1 to hold the nail head dwn,secure...while you gentle tap the extra to the side..

To tighten right dwn.....I found that hitting the top side (head) and the extra inside in a quick 1..2.. Combo...took care of any lil excess...!

If there not on tightly or the new grommet is slightly loose..

You'll hear a buzzing when you strike the drum...
