Thanks, John! I'm inclined to agree. Bill and I have had several good conversations in the past...and I know from seeing his projects that he does a great job. I'm excited about it!

Now, I'm gonna go pop some popcorn and wait for pics of yours! Jump For Joy

Ok, thank you all for your patience. Here she is; my Frankenwood-super-sensitive!

Three words: Crisp, dry, woody!

I'm liking it.

A special thanks to Bill (billnvick) for the shell, badge and bottom hoop. I'd like to recommend Bill to anyone looking for a cool vintage shell for this kind of project.

Enjoy, let me know what you think. I've wanted to build this drum for the longest time and now... thar she blows!

Fantastic John I love it~! Man getting that strainer setup perfect must have been a pia. The extended snares are cool though and well worth the time. Just in time for Turkey day. I want to do a deep wood snare one of these days too. Great job buddy enjoy it!

> getting that strainer setup perfect must have been a pita.

Careful measuring, -very- careful measuring.

Measure twice, drill once! lol

Thanks all for the compliments. It's a great sounding drum and it's going behind the kit for awhile, or... until I get bored silly with it and swap it out for another one of my snares. I swap out kits/snares every three months or so just to get a fresh sound for my ears and to keep my enthusiasm sparked. It works! I never get bored with my drums.

I've been playing the late 50's RB kit lately and I want to hear what this snare sounds like with those glorious tubs.

Hope you guys enjoyed following the build. I know I always enjoy following yours.
