Thank you, boys! Waiting for the bottom hoop and I still have the throw-side of the ss strainer to install/mount. I'll take a shot of the lay-out (for any geeks who are interested in seeing it,) before I drill or install the part.
Soon, soon, soon. Can't wait to play this one.

Mike,
I got your pm, sorry I didn't respond right away. Me and Bev are both fighting a stomach virus that's going around and I haven't spent much time at the computer.
Member orangemi has a hoop that I'm negotiating for. If that falls through, I have another member waiting in the wings with a Ludwig ss hoop. If that doesn't work out, there is a guy on ebay holding a hoop for me. If all that goes down the tubes, (your offer was the fourth one I received,) then I'll contact you about the one on ebay you told me about. You may end up hearing from me yet!
I just want all the parts 'on-hand' so that when I'm up to it, I can finish this one off. It's looking great so far... let's hope it works half as good as it looks!

That is going to be a spectacular project. Very nice!!

Well, I was going to wait until it was complete to show it off, but two leads on a bottom hoop have fallen through so far. With the exception of the bottom hoop, the drum is finished and ready to rock.
Yes, that's a 1959 Ludwig transition badge on the drum! I thought Bill was going to send me an old keystone badge or a WFL badge. It was my very pleasant surprise to open the package and find a shiny, new looking transition badge staring back at me. I'm going to make an internal label for the drum indicating that it is 'home-made' and it'll include some information about the drum.
Anybody got a drop-gate 10 hole snare hoop? I can't wait to play this one.
Enjoy the pix. I took shots from a few different angles...

Wow!! That looks great!!! I'm sorry the leads for the bottom rim fell through. What a bummer that you can't play it yet. If I see anything else I'll let you know.
