Ok, at long last... photos of the completed kit! I'm not real crazy about how the natural light made the wrap appear in the photos. I will add some indoor shots later so you can appreciate the Merlot sparkle. It's a beautiful finish. The drums look new. They sound incredible, nice and deep and very warm (FAT.) I'll get to use them in a playing situation on Tuesday. I'm psyched. Enjoy these photos for now. I'll add some nice indoor shots later on.

I hope so! Restoring these great old kits is 'almost' as fun as sex for me. I enjoy every minute of the process. I can lose hours and hours while I'm working on a project. Time stops and I get into a Zen Concentration Zone where I am more 'in the moment' than at other times in my life. It really is an 'altered state' for me. Love it. I hope this stuff encourages others to save 'savable' great old vintage kits that would otherwise be on their way to the Dump. This one came out great. I'm looking forward to putting some mileage on the odometer.

Tommy - Thanks for kind words, bud.

OVER-THE-TOP John!!

One of the very nicest finishes I've ever seen on any drums and they have to be even better in person I'm sure. They will be the center of attention on any stage setting - a conversation piece I'm sure.

It's good to hear (your last post) how much you like this and how you get into it......I can somewhat relate.

Nice work....and hats off to your wife for picking out the wrap! There are wraps then there is this wrap - wow!

What a great thread too.

Congratulations!
