Fathertime,

Here`s a short on the history of teardrops !!

This is the pre-Teardrop lug Sonor used from 52-54. Unlike the MIJ copies, it has no flange around the bottom (toes) You do not need these, notice the fasteners are threaded into the lug caseing !! It has two washers, one flat and the other a locking, and a incert and spring !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Here is the lug that Sonor used from 55-56, it`s known as the shark tooth most commonly. There were two sizes of it, one smaller for the snares and rack toms, and one larger for the FT and BD. These kits had two diferent lugs from the factory !! Notice the lug caseing has the studs and recieves a nut on the inside of shell !! You don`t need this one !!

Here is the lug Sonor used from 56-65 it is similar to the one from 65-on. it`s slimmer and less bulky than the sharktooth, and has no incert, instead it has a "throat". The studs are into the cast as well. The throat on this one is thicker than that of the 60`s and is not as pointy. easily mistaken between the two !! The 50`s one is the one on top in the first photo and the bottom in the second photo !! Note the thickness difference in the first photo !! You don`t need this one so look carefully !!

Here is the one you are looking for !! It`s sitting next to the three different recieveing nuts because it has no incert !! You want the bottom nut and the T-Rod shown !!

The top nut is pre-Teardrop, the middle one is 56, and the last one is 65+ !!
