HOLY POO PILES JEFF!

You should go into the biz of drum pimping dude!

Man, you did indeed nail that. It's gorgeous!

I'm serious, I'll bet you could do drums when the cabinet biz is slow. Probably couldn't make a living at it, but you could sure make beer money or better!

I do make a little beer money once in a while. But its never enough to buy all the beer. I just started painting drums this year. In Feb. I bought a bunch of Ludwig Rockers off ebay from all over the USA. Put together a big double bass kit. Removed the wraps and covered with maple veneer. Once it was done I wanted to do it again and slowly got hooked on restoring drums. Is fun to try out differnt finishes on drums that are not too valuable. It is even more fun to find a true vintage kit with nice wraps and restore to origional.

Thank you!

Wow! JC Nice job on the Rockers with Maple veneer...

I covered an old early 60's set of Sonor "Tear Drop" shells with Rosewood Veneer and had a great time doing that. What kind of veneer did you use? I used the 3M spray contact cement as adhesive. It was a challenge to make sure all angles were exact, but worth the effort for sure.

-Cheers!
