Love hearing you guys play. For some reason I thought I'd be hearing more Be-bop. Maybe later!
My current band doesn't have anything up yet, but my old band out of Sweden has some stuff. The live video is kinda grainy but the studio is ok. I particularly like the bridge on "Bloodfire".
The singer is semi-famous. Hasse Fröberg...lead singer for the Flowerkings.
I can't access my space. A page comes up telling me to upgrade, I upgraded and still the same page keeps coming up. Can anyone tell what I'm doing wrong? Never had this problem logging onto my space before. Help2Help2Help2 DOH
Way to go, Bill! Very tasty stuff. Experienced guys will know that the slow stuff is the hardest to play (right.) You nailed it. Nothing wrong with your anything according to my ears. Digitizing everything is sucking the life out of music. I much prefer listening to an unedited drummer than I do one that has been digitized in post production/editing. You sound great. Natural. Thanks John. Appreciate the kind words. I am my own worst critic. I can agonize about how I may have played this or that,and God forbid I had a bad night when I played out. Wouldn't be enough beer in the bar to console myself. Slow stuff is a female dog. I tend to over think what I'm doing sometimes and that's a no, no.
John, I'm jealous of your project. Would love to play with a horn section (and keys?). Very, very fun stuff you're doing. I love some Blues.
This is fun hearing what you other guys are doing. Very cool. Catching up listening to some more of what's been posted and I hope to hear more of our fellow members.

Lingontega - Very nice stuff! 'Up' classic sound. I enjoyed it. Thank you for posting/sharing the link. It's great to hear so many different styles of music being played by the drummers here. A wonder of diversity.
Jomeli - Maybe your computer operating system needs the upgrade to use the My Space music player? Some 'Quicktime' upgrade, or Flash, who knows? Wish I could be more helpful. The player comes right up on my mac.
Bill - I'm in hog-heaven playing with these guys. Perfect instrumentation, versatile, we can switch styles on a dime and pull of a 'convincing' rendition of whatever we're tackling. Dave doesn't use a fixed set list. He'll call the numbers on-stage depending on the crowd, or what maybe 'needed' at the moment or simply by how everybody is feeling. I get off on the spontaneity of it. Always fresh, never boring. The band plays itself, drumming for these guys is pure pleasure.

I remember youtube telling me I had to upgrade and/or link myself to a gmail account, or something? I don't know if I ever did it, but it's working now.
You guys sound great. Love the Rainbow and Alice tunes - two of my fav groups.

LOL - welcome to the club! You're not alone man. I'm bad about recorded stuff. I always re-think my choices after the fact. Doesn't pay. As long as everybody else is happy, I try to ignore my own 'self-criticism'.

Only the last few years (after 48 years of playing,) I've started to trust my musical choices (what I add or take away,) more and more. As a result, I am enjoying playing in a way I haven't experienced since I was a teen-ager.
I just give myself over to the groove and feed it whatever it is asking for. Staying out of my own way. I've been able to relax more and really enjoy the music almost as a remote listener would, taking it all in instead of being completely absorbed in my drumming. It's made a huge difference for me. I took the pressure off myself. I'm really having a ball playing. No grief.
You're a terrific drummer, Bill. Trust yourself more. Experience will always win out and rarely steer you far wrong.

My CD sales and downloads paid off my costs.
