Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoyed doing this and documenting it. Believe it or not, I will be refering to this thread on my future restorations, to remember what I did right and wrong last time. I can remember what I did 30 yrs ago, but cant remember what I did last night!!!LoLoLoLo

I see forum members drums taken by thier pool all the time. It seems like a pain in the a$$ to haul it all out there. I should do it anyway and play them out there and annoy my Bit*h next door neighbor.Laughing H

Poppy, been meaning to ask you: How did those repro badges work out for you? Based only on the pictures, I can't tell the difference! what's your assessment? If Cool1then I might pick some up from Kentucky Fried Drums.

The Repro badges are fabulous!!!. The only thing I didnt like about them is the double stick tape that came on them. I was preparing to epoxy them on when I discovered they have 3m 200MP Adhesive tape on the back side. I said to myself "Cool as sh*t!!!" So I preceded to install the badges with the supplied adhesive tape. The adhesive tape might have worked if i had cleaned the badge area with 3m adhesive promoter, which I had several little packages, but they were pretty old and when I opened my little adhesive promoter package (like a wet ones package) I discovered the little foam pad applicator had disolved in the adhesive promoter. I wasnt about to wait to get more promoter, so I cleaned the badge area with laquer thinner to make sure there wasnt any body oil to keep them from sticking. Well, to my dismay they didnt stick very well, so I brushed a little solvent based extremly flamable contact adhesive on the badge area and on the back of the badge and stuck them on, then installed the grommet. As far as the look of the badge its absolutly Fabulous!!!!!

I got my bottom head for my floortom in. Im going to put it on this morning.

Well, the head I have for the bottom of the floor tom seems a hair too small.
