What the heck is this bass???
Looks to me like a stationary bass drum set-up,like maybe a Merry-go-round or some other mechanical music machine from the early 1900's.

Most likely a Pearl-built stencil of some type,due to the lug and bass drum T-rod shapes.Dozens of different "brand"names to choose from.

That is the general color of the wildwood set I saw-but it seemed to have a more pronounced grain-is that what is meant by "fading"?
