@Ralf,
Yes you are right, thank you for the correction. I see that pole mount in the 1972 catalogue. I guess I was too quick to jump in!
Still, I don't think it's a factory wrap though....

Did anyone notice the repeating pattern is oriented the same on all 3 drums?And I can't seem to locate a seam.This style of laminate/covering was common on all sorts of items like refrigerators,countertops,portable record players etc.I remember seeing a new,vinyl covered MIJ set with a denim pattern-with POCKETS and stitching in the pattern.Not the Slingy one.We need an investigator on site PRONTO...
I have the original T rods if someone ends up buying it...Im tempted myself since I have the Hihat stand too...Finding a Star metal snare wouldnt be much a of a stress I think...Oh, desitions,desitions...I already bought an old Black Diamond pearl no name set today...
The tom mount is right and a Star mount.The spur's have been replaced.The set is a re-wrapped set.I went over the photos in the listing,look at the photo of the toms on the bass drum you will see on the 12" tom the wrap goes all the way to the edge on the 13" it does not it's cut at the edge.Also the wrap on the edge of the bass drum is un-even..A re-wrapppd set with wall paper or slelf paper..I think they lowed the price to 389.00.....Mikey
If you look at the picture of the badge, you can see that the grommet doesn't go all the way through. Not sure how these were fastened, but it looks like they were re-used, maybe glued on? Re-wrap or not, my daughter loves em!!
