Many have asked me where my friend gets that 2 sided roof flashing for wrapping drums, here is a pic of some from Home Depot, he told me you have to hunt for it, its hit and miss, sometimes the rolls come is all aluminum, and at times one side is bronze, here is a pic he sent me today. along with the note he sent

How does he wrap larger drums with only 10in width? I'm very excited to try this.

the 10" he uses for snares, it comes in many widths, plenty wide enough for any size drum, remember they use it for roofs.

And what's the recommended method for cutting this stuff cleanly? I can't imagine normal tin snips would do a very nice job...?

A table saw with a fine (80-ish) tooth aluminum cutting blade would probably be easiest

MY friend says a decent pair is sheers work just fine no need to use a saw even heavy duty scissors are ok

I'll find out, he has been doing this for years, never had one issue with roll up at all. He's been at the drum show with his stuff, I've told him to start a business, put he does it for him self.
