He loved playing my Kit so I figured he needed his own drums.

I grabbed ahem, a 2001 DW 22/12/14 BOP in early December, then the following week scored a 65 supraphonic. These qualified as my xmas present. Excited Sorry no pic of the supra due to damaged camera.
I got my first drum, some kind of low-end 6" djembe, for Christmas in 2006 or so.
I'd love to see it....is it posted on the Forum?
I've got a BLue-Foil badged 9x13 Kent - looks like a Ginger/brownish/gold? sparkle...nice little drum. I'll bet your kit is pretty sweet.
Congrats on your "drummy" Christmas!
I bought myself a Kent champagne sparkle FT to go with the CS Kent kit I restored last year. Got it a week ago - Still cleaning her up.Last year was a very drummy x-mas at my place. Wife got me a Pork Pie 8" X 14" silver sparkle maple snare to go with the snareless Gretsch Catalina Club Mod kit (silver sparkle w/black sparkle stripes) she got for my b-day, 3 weeks prior. This year... I think I *may* be getting an iPod touch????? Haven't started opening gifts yet.
Nice going Ploughman Santax-mas3 !!!
I love to hear stuff like that.
Lots of very nice Christmas presants on the Thread.
I got a late Christmas presant.....that turned into a huge gift for me....it's still coming.
Our wedding anniversary is Dec 30th. This past one was our 25th. My wife - Rosemary - bought me a 125th Anniversary Round Badge (the anniversary drums are Round badges now) Gretsch Champagne Sparkle (4.5x14) snare drum for our anniversary. #92/300 signed by Fred Gretsch. That was good enough....but I thought what a perfect opportunity to get myself a nice little 4pc Jazz kit. I already have two Gretsch kits. I justified ordering the new drums by selling some of my non-Gretsch snare drums. I put my order in for a Custom USA Gretsch shellpack - 18bd/12/14 in Champagne Sparkle. Paul Cooper at the Gretsch factory helped me with making decisions on the Custom outcome and with a few "extras." The drums are almost ready to be shipped to Canada.
A pretty nice late Christmas presant all because my dear wife bought me the Champagne Sparkle snare that I've been looking at for a couple of years - 125th anniversary drum on our 25th anniversary.....Don't get much better for a drummer in this house.
