White Pearl Pics

From crash

Not sure. Looking for an older looking WMP. Yellowing would be appreciated. any suggestions, or sources? Thanks, Bill D.

Well antique white pearl is gorgeous. It's a bit more yellow, but the chip pattern is smaller than 60's era kits. I've heard that drum supply house can custom tint any shade to a pearl wrap for an additional fee, but I didn't have the patience to deal with them. I waited on a few sample wraps forever, and they never came. I've also heard others speak unfavorably about their experiences with them. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY endorse Precision Drums. Their customer service and work are OUTSTANDING!

Drum Foundry also sells a Cream Pearl which replicates a antique white marine pearl but has the smaller chip pattern. They sent a 4"x5" sample out to me and was in my hands within a week. My order came within a week also.

Here's the swatch against my WMP bass. It's more of a yellow cream color than the brighter white it appears as in the pic.

Here is my 1965 matched date Ludwig Classics. I also have the WFL Bongos from the 50's to match (they need cleaned).

Here's my original 1-owner 1967 Ludwig WMP Downbeat 20-12-16. It was just finished being totally detailed this year.

It's got a kind of "green marine" or ginger ale tint to it now, but extremely lustrous and beautiful.
