I think you should definitely go with the blue, then let me know where the white one is 😉

I enjoyed your thought. I have a problem that sometimes I'm a kid in a candy store when it comes to drums. I see a piece that I like, but don't need, but want it anyway, and then figure if its a beauty I can always sell it later on after having had the opportunity to treasure it for a while. Been there, done that through the years, to accumulate a bunch then say why? only to then start selling, then regrets start to flourish. I can't win.

Easier to do that with drums than with classic cars, I started down that path not too long ago but checked MY sanity early.

I just assumed JR was looking to buy the best drum for flipping for profit.

Well said. I resemble this remark.

"flipping profit." a novel idea.

I hear ya, I really shouldn't be buying anything. But for nearly a year after selling most of my gear, I've only bought that Whitehall kit because I wanted a decent vintage kit. I've got the seller down to $275, I've recently been playing with a few guys and the MIJ snare I've been using just isn't cutting it. I want a nice vintage snare to use. I may not be able to handle playing a full gig yet, when we rehearse I get tired and I'm still having anxiety, but if worse comes to worse, I can always sell it. That's not my intention, but an option.

Smoke som bud you’ll be fine

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Life is short, man. Do whatever you want. I'll bet you'll love that Barrett Deems snare if you get it.
