The skins on the bottom are hit once for the first drink, twice for the second drink and so on.

I got that they were upside down. ----modelled after some native N.A. drum I believe. Do they have seeds in them? Native rattle drums---I've heard them referred to as.

The skin is thick like my leather jacket, no seed, no two points on the diameter are the same, hand made and painted, kilned, and whiteish clay !! Only clues I got is what`s in my hand !!

We don`t have and Island drum spot !!

The reason I asked about the seeds is; I have a similar pair----smaller I think and they do have rattles in them. They are supposed to be seeds--- sorghum or grain . They are made of clay as well, with very thick skin for heads, tied down with rawhide. I was told , some years ago that they are Indian rattle drums---sort of played and shaken at the same time. I don't know anything about them other than that.
