Hey slingerfan!
Isn't it amazing what drummers will use to attach snare wires?!! Laughing H

It's a ludwig shell that some upolstry shop got there hands on . original wrap must have been bad to justify a recover.

Hi Jeff!
That's probably the reason! Still, I've seen some people cover perfectly good wraps simply because the color or style of wrap didn't jive with their tastes. Wouldn't it be cool to find an oyster, psych or mod wrap underneath?!! I really doubt I will, but it will be fun to remove that upholstery wrap and see what's underneath!! I should have the drum by Wednesday!

Heck ya, it worth buying the drum just for the anticipation. I really hope you score big!
Pioneer. Unfortunately, it appears holes were made for the MIJ strainer.

Dtjohn! Yes, unfortunately! I realized that as soon as I knew it was a Ludwig. Why would someone install these cheap MIJ parts when Ludwig replacements were plentiful? We may never know!

Good luck Mark! I can't wait to see what's hiding under there. You deserve a good score like this!
It definitely looks to be a 60's Ludwig. I would love to know what color is under that ridiculous wrap.
