$50 But it was along time ago.
I got this Ludwig 402 off Craig's List last week for $40. This is what it looks like after a total disassemble, cleaning, polishing, removing some tarnish, the repair of a broken throw off lever, and a new batter head. It's a great sounding drum.
Got this set of Gretsch '66 round badge a couple years ago for under $1500.00, with matching wood shell 4160 snare from a studio in Florida. It's a re-wrap, but it was done by Precision in NY, so I knew it was the best job possible. Not a single problem with any of the drums, no extra holes, nothing amiss at all.
The main ride cymbal in the photos is a 20" Masterwork Jazz Master at about 2300 grams that I won on feeBay for $100.00 a year or so ago!
The ride to the right of it is a 1950s Avedis blockletter stamp 22" at 2400-something grams off feeBay for about $200.00 or so last year.
14" '50s-era K. Zildjian hats - feeBay, about $250.00 last year. The 15" '60s K. Zildjian thin crash I've had for many years.
Now, if I could just get ReGal Music to sell me that grogeous ol' SupraPhonic for $100.00...

$50.00?
"A long time ago?"
To get that kind of deal you must have been around in the "pre-historic era!"
UNBELIEVEABLE!
However, because I'm a great guy (just ask my wife -- I hope!), I'll offer you DOUBLE of what you've paid (LOL)!
Beautiful find!!!!!!
OK, I'll play. My first vintage kit a few years ago. Gretsch RB kit with all original hardware and K Istanbul cymbals. $300.00 from the original owner, no missing parts or extra holes. The kit received a full clean up, new heads and the bass drum hoops painted. This was a once in a lifetime score.
STIXNERGARD......
If there was such a thing as justice, you and I would probably be in jail!!

A poorly written ad in the local newspaper that could have been a waste of time turned out great. I was happy to pay asking price for the kit.
Here is deal #2, 1967 Ludwig Downbeat BDP from original owner as bought new with correct hardware, A Zildjians, original heads. Advertised in the local newspaper. I paid $450.00 pictures before and after
