Is the parade snare in good shape??

If it is, I would hesitate to convert it.

KEVINS - The parade snare is in very good condition--- why the hesitation to convert it?

Cause it's a parade snare in good working order, not a floor tom.

If it were just a shell, then perhaps.

Just my preference.

I'm sure it will be a fun project and turn out nicely.

KEVINS:

Aaaah, I understand.

The ONLY thing I purchased was the parade snare shell with badge!

The blue snare DID however come with clips/rods/lugs which I suppose I COULD put onto the parade snare, however,

Then I'd STILL be in the situation of waiting for a throw off/butt just to complete the parade snare AND I'd be waiting even longer for the same items to complete GEORGE WAY kit snare!

I figured it made more sense to do the tom conversion, utilize Camco lugs and my extra set of LEEDY style legs/brackets and ONLY have to wait for ONE throw off and butt plate to complete the matching wrap four piece Way kit.

Did that make sense?

I guess I mistook you for meaning the parade snare was complete when you said it's in very good condition.

My bad !! ......

Sounds like you are making the best of the situation to me now !!
