Wow, strange, is it possible it's an inverted splash?

Isn't that just popped out? Don't do it, but all it should need is a flex back. Am I correct? Sure looks like it.

That's what I thought too. I tried to pop it back . There's no way it will flatten out there's so much tension on the curve up. Deffinetly seems to be made that way.

Mmmmmyeah...at first I thought it inverted, too...but usually an inverted cymbal is bent further towards the bell as well.

Kinda cool find....yes, definitely a pre-Trans stamp so we are looking at 30's or early 40's.....

I DO have some flanged Trans-stamp cymbals...but their egdes aren't as pronounced as this one.....

interesting.....

I have a Wuhan 12" Splash in this shape. It's a cool cymbal, kinda a cross between a splash and china.

Getting somewhere.

You have a very early "A Zildjian" Swish cymbal. Avedis received a patent in 1938 for the swish design. Craigie donated copies of this patent and one for a crash cymbal to Jim Pettit during the Cymbal Summit to be permanently displayed at Memphis Drum shop.
