Very nice! Are those the calf heads on the bassdrum? They look so plain white.

Beautiful kit! Thanks for sharing. Somewhere Levon Helm is smiling right now. Just wondering ... Where did you find the wooden hoops for your toms? Thanks!

Yes..the original Calf skins are still on it...There was a remnant of the previous owners initials painted on it...so I used a cleaner to dissolve the old name off.. that is part of it..and I edited the photo so there is probably to much contrast making it look bright..it has a tan-ish grey tint to it in reality. I wanted to put a modern head on the Batter side but they are an odd size..23.5 " I will have to go 24" and modify the eye- hole studs with spacers to make up the difference.

Oh wow, beautiful. I love the look of the drums. I've never played a full wood hoop kit before. Bet they sound warm and woody.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I used them in a City Park Gazebo for the 4th of July...miked them and they sounded great...deep & rich ..very warm!
