I may have misunderstood your post.

I think you got it right. I have some catalog scans I can send or e-mail to you. Also, some pics that I have would be good for references.

That would be fantastic. I would really appreciate it. Any photos I would use on my site will have your name credited to it, if you like. The e-mail address is:

Thanks very much,

I have Gretsch catalogs 1950s-1980s that are very helpful in research. As others have said, many scans are available online, which are also very convenient. I also pick up ones that go with drums I own, like an early to mid-1960s RMC FlatJacks catalog that I recently purchased. It is nice to compliment the drums with the brouchure or catalog.

Collecting information about the following for ongoing research projects:
Gretsch drums with serial numbers,
Ludwig Keystone and B/O badge drums with serial numbers and date stamps,
Ludwig Standards from 1968-73, and
Ludwigs with paper labels from 1971-72

Rick, you've really done some incredible vintage drum research.

High praise indeed. I have been reviewing your site lately as I assess a potential purchase. I have learned much about an era that is very much not in my comfort level.

Another paper coming soon, this one on Ludwig.

Same here. I know pitifully little about Gretsch drums. I've owned and played a few 50's-60's Gretsch sets over the years but know little of their history. I am REALLY enjoying the new Gretsch Book. Great information and very interesting reading. Obviously, my main focus is Ludwig, Slingerland, and Leedy drums from the 1920's-1950's. So, I like learning new stuff!

Thanks,

Mark

I'm looking for either a Sears catalog from 64-65 that has an ad for Kent drums or some type of advertising for them.

Also, I'm looking for the Rogers catalog from, I believe 68 that has Buddy Rich on the cover. I play in a band with his nephew and I think he would get kick seeing that.
