My son is friends with someone working at a specialty welding shop in Florida.What type of wire were you TIGing with?Was there a reason for not cleaning up the welded area,like with a Dremel?After seeing this post I bid on a K Zildjian crash with a crack,but got cold feet-this could be a game changer!

I do clean them up quite a bit actually, you should see them before my grinder,lol. I just use silicon bronze filler. But a couple weeks ago I was welding a Sabian crash and I decided to try and add some 4043 aluminum filler to the pool. I got it to flow and hold lol, I will see if my phone can get a decent pic.
