That's kind of a nice looking snare drum-----but the brand is completely unknown here.Try to find anything about them. I think that picture came from France. In snapping condition , here in N.A. -----maybe 250.00 tops, if you found someone really wanting what is essentially a marching drum and you didn't have to ship it. If it had a known pedigree, that would be different.
vintage ajax b&h drum

Sorry. I thought you were talking about the Asama parallel strainer drum in the picture I sent. About your B&H drum. Ajax , isn't very well known anymore. When they were current they were considered the equal of Premier; in some quarters superior. They seem to have had a bigger presence in Canada but that was long ago.
If it was mint you'd get a decent price but that muffler f's it pretty bad. Sell the muffler on ebay-----you might get 20.00- 30.00 for it. Patch the holes, rewrap it and then put it out . You will get probably 200.00, eventually, all polished up.
Don't do W.M.P. ---it's not popular. Do black oyster. Even though, B&H didn't do that wrap, it is the Pamela Anderson of drum wraps. Secretly, every one wants some, despite how hackneyed and predictable it all is.
The drum isn't original anyway, so make it so someone will love it and play it ,even if it is only Tommy Lee.
how much time and money will that take?
wrapping a snare drum isn't all that difficult but you gotta remember that you are probably only tacking on about 75.00 worth of value.-----if you can wait, Precision Drum will have a blowout special on a snaredrum sized piece of wrap, that's a guaranteed magnet for 7.00 or so+ shipping. They have these specials weekly but some of the wraps are pretty lame. You gotta holdout or look around for some small pieces, of killer patterns cheap. Then it's 3 hours of your time + some cement etc. If you buy the wrap off the shelf it isn't worth it.
so it's time, that's all. If you need the money a.s.a.p. put it up for 200.00 on consignment at a drum shop. Polish it and clean it and tune it and adjust the wires and preferably find a key for it. That is a huge inhibiting factor in North America. Slot heads. It could be the best drum in the universe but everyones going ---oh, man ; how am I ever going to deal with those slot heads. Keys are easy to find and in a pinch use a screwdriver or a coin but everyone on this continent are too busy shopping at WalMart to work that little problem through. If it isn't normal and lemming fodder, everyone gets constipated. That's why they all eat at McDonalds; it counteracts the constipation.........Let me know what you are trying to build up----I have some snare drums; that might be more appropriate for you to build a kit around---perhaps we could arrange a trade. p.m. me. .... but my recommendation is to not give up on this drum. you might be surprised what it can achieve----unless you are committed to a metal snare( and then you should be committed-----no, just kidding). Those cast hoops on that Ajax -----you will find your self buying those hoops , probably someday----they are the model for many of the mucho argento cast hoops being flogged today for sumptuous amounts. If you don't like W.M.P. ---keep your orbs on Precision and grab a deal on a really great wrap and turn that sucker into the envy of Vancouver.....there that's it.

Ask me & if I dont' know i'll surely find
wasn't sure on those. I had what appeared to be a Tama stencil kit , about 2 years ago-----4 drums and a Pearl snare----- and all the drums except the bass had those but there were at least 3 different versions of them. Some had a nylon clutch, some had a metal clutch, some had a triangular mount some had a square mount. I can't remember the name of the kit---perhaps Asama or something like that. They looked to be from the 80s. I found out it was a brand popular in Greece or Macedonia or somewhere in that neck of the olive grove. ------------ later; I decided to look them up and I'm not so sure they are anybody's stencils. Could this have been a small independent company? Asama is apparently the name of a volcano in Japan. Here's the muffler anyway and a pretty elaborate deep snare.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/22/1001697.jpg/
An Asama it is!
Look at this snare and its damper:
