Value of Rewraping

Loading...

I'm not arguing when and if to re-wrap, or refuting what anyone else has posted here. I'm certainly not here to argue or start an argument. I think we all know when a re-wrap is needed or warranted. I just want to say that I agree with Blair and many others who have posted here and in other threads that someone, somewhere will want what you have in the condition it's currently in (unless it truly is trashed). If you don't like it, sell it and use the funds to buy what you like. This is just me thinking out loud, but the more wraps that are in restorable condition that get ripped off of drums, the less truly original vintage drums will be around for us and future generations to enjoy. But, as has been said many times, you bought it with your money so you can do whatever you want to it...even if it makes others cringe.

Just my :2Cents:. I know mine isn't the only opinion out there and anyone is welcome to disagree. We're just sharing thoughts and opinions.

I'm no guru, just a vintage drum junkie!

I'm a longtime Player/Collector/restorer/ builder. I'm from the Old Not So Modern Drummer Clan. We never ever called a drum an orphan we coined them singles as that is what they are,

How can you be an orphan if you have a family?? simply meaning to address some of the post contents here. If the wrap is damaged beyond repair then Yes a re wrap is in it's future,

But if it's only to match and existing kit color wise or you don't like the color. Then Royally Bad HERE!!! That single or couple of drums you have someone somewhere is looking for that or those drums, like I am right now. The Instrument can only be original once. Now I'm talking about historic drums not the dime a dozen, cookie cutter variety, re wrap that all you want to.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!
