Value of a Meazzi Hollywood Tronicsnare!

Loading...

Hy guys of the VDF:-)

I got this Meazzi Snare last Weekend with a Sonorkit! First of all; I never had stuff from Meazzi..looks like pretty decent quality! Sound for me a bit to dry, but ok!

The Drum has a microphone system inside...never saw something like that either!

Does anyone of you has experience with a snare like that? What would be a possible date of that drum? What would be the value of a snaredrum like that?

best regards

Christian

A change of heads would change the sound...Experiment with different head combinations to achieve the sound you`re looking for...

Cool snare, BTW...What vintage is the Sonor kit?

Cheers

Champion sounds awesome;-) i will soon post pics here;-)

I know with the heads! There is a Diplomat on it wich would normaly make a sound with lots of overtones not dry at all, but there is a Damper inside that always touches the batterhead. You can not release that damper ! It must have something to do with that microphonesystem. Because the Damper is attached to it. I will make pics tomorow!

Is there anyway you can bend the damper down a little to avoid touching the head, or will the microphone impede this?

Cheers

hello everybody.

it hasn't a fixed value. cause it's not looked for in the vintage drums market yet.

alse if more richer in stuff then a regular Holllywood snare, a regular snare is preferred.

very hard you can repair and use the ELECTronic parts

Hy

Allright hipercusion:_) What would be your guess on a value...roughly?

@grantro

I cleaned the snare today and found out that you can take of the Damper by lifting it up the holder! It is attached like rubberlegs from a floortom. So i took it of and gave her a Remo Ambassdor as Batterhead! Snare sounds very good now;-) very open and tuned high she makes the snare sound i like:-)

On monday comes our PA Enginer and i will try with him the mic inside. Will see how that works:-)

I let you guys know;-)

Pics are coming soon:-)

Wow, there are a lot of electronics in there.

What is in the black bag? Under the muffler/damper.

Very interesting.

Looks like the black pick up in the round iso harness is a piezo element for triggering.
