I don't usually bother with MIJ stuff - most of them are found in the U.S. and it costs a lot of money to bring them here, money that is better spent on better drums (i.e. Sonors, Premiers etc). This one was different. Firstly, it was in the U.K., so much cheaper to get. Secondly, it's a 10-lugger, 14x8 - not very common I thought. So I pulled the trigger and a few days later, voila :)
I think it must have been wrapped once, only someone removed it. Most of the top lugs are cracked, as is the top hoop (but it's not original anyway, so not a problem). Part of the butt-end is missing (I think?), no badge or stamp, no reso head or wires. The thing reminds me of an early 1980s Pearl I saw once, but the strainer, muffler and the wire mechanisms say 'Tama'-clone. I hope you guys can say more, I'm completely clueless when it comes to MIJ. Pics follow.
