I was thinking about this story a few days ago as I looked at a pearl export kit, missing one tom and some very nice stands, a acrolite and tama snares, some hi hat cymblas. He was asking 175 on craigs list. I went to look and the hi hats were zildjian new beat. well he was 20 something and had switched to guitar and had lost one of his toms. I asked him what his bottom dollar was and he replied $150. I gave him the money and left. Of course, these werent heirlooms, he wasnt a minor, and he could care less about these drums. I gave him my card and told him if he finds the missing tom id be glad to pay more monsy for it. I wish my grand dad had played the drums and I had somemthing he played.
