Sounds nice.

Here is a current link on a STAR three piece kit in WMP or white- I can`t tell. It`s priced too high (300$ for three drums,no snare) so it didn`t move on the first week of auctioning. This here is it`s 2nd round just starting. I value it at 150$ max (15,000yen) or 1/2 his current asking price.

It`s got a star fron t bass head - but we know that don`t mean anything- it could be from another kit altogether. TO my eyes- the badges look like the classic "made in Japan" badges and the hardware all looks to be 1968 Pearl stencil. Go figure. The auction says "STAR drums" and the bass drum head as well. I have to go back and study the photos but if I remeber the heads are also Star brand- but also they can come from another kit. It`s buyer beware out there!Sumo Dude

My grandfather's Star floor tom was EXACTLY the same as this one-except blue sparkle.Club Date style lugs,2 of the 3 open leg bracket tensioners broke and had to be replaced with eye bolts.Nice deep tone,as I recall-till he painted the top head with spray paint to cover the black stick marks.

His Bread and Butter Rogers set got stolen from a bar in Haverhill,Mass.and he needed a set THAT MINUTE-so the local music store fronted him a Ralston/Star blue sparkle set.Would a music store front a set with no down payment nowadays?
