Star Butt Plate (Strainer?)

From Kenwood

Same set up on this Lido Supreme snare saltyIn fact, I had to steal the lower half with the pinch bar from a no badge, but otherwise complete, red sparkle snare drum that I have over here So now I have an eye out for another to replace the one I stole. I am currently working on a Star made blue oyster snare same strainer and butt end on it as well.

VERY cool snare, Kenwood!!! Thanks for posting those great pictures!

Brian!A great idea using a lug insert! Definitely won't interfere with turning and you won't see it anyway. Well done!-Mark

Hey, Mark!

For some reason, I was able to do a bit of tweaking today and the original jam nut and wheel work perfectly now! The god of drums was watching over me today! This old Star, even with this cool gizmo, is never going to replace my late seventies Supra but, I think I'd like to bring it to practice to try it in a few songs. It certainly has that sixties feel to it! Thanks again, Mark and to everyone for the replies and help. You guys are remarkable!
