Found a way to make the hardware of a cracked black&copper bass drum fit on the 20" white bass drum.

The lugs had this black insert in the lug screw holes, so it made sense that they were there to either keep the tension rod receiver with snap lock in place, or the tube of the tube lug.

When I removed one black insert the tension rod receiver part could move like before, but wouldn't come off, so it was probably holding the tube. But with all my force, trying to twist and pull, the tube didn't come off.

So I gave it a few smacks with a platic screwdriver handle, and behold! It had moved 1 mm! I quickly grabbed a plastic hammer and started hammering away on the lugs. In 10 minutes, I had 8 lugs done.

Now I can cut them to fit the 20" bass drum and put them back together!

I second WAYNE's comment-- THAT"S a lot of LOVE!!

These drums are not my taste at all, which is even a greater testament to my opinion that your drums are indeed VERY CLASSY looking...

Excellent project...your pride shows!!

Not your taste, but very classy?

So... You don't like classy drum kits?

Anyway, the 22" bass drum is done. The hoops have a lot of rash, so I'm thinking of getting new ones, but that might be very expensive...

Most of the drums are done now! What you don't see on the pics but will be added (I need parts) are the 14x7 Snare, 8", 10" and 15" toms and the 22" bass drum (which is done already as well)

What you see:

20"x17" bass drum

13"x10" tom

14"x12" tom

16"x17" floor tom

14"x4" Signature bell bronze HLD593

And yes, I will fit another bass drum head, probably white with black Sonor logo.
