Tim these look great. Really nice job. The red wrap really pops!! I really like the "plus" sizes too. Cool1 Are you still selling them or are they keepers?

Thanks FFR428. I took the basic set out yesterday and performed on it. They sound really really good. I had mentioned I was not crazy about the bass heads, and they were some I had from a purchase, but I threw a kick pad inside the bass and put a felt strip on the resonant head and surprising to me it sounded great ? I also put a Ambassador on the 14" as the original unplayed head was a little out of round and did not tune up evenly. I still want to get the whole original configuration together and if I do sell them one member here already has first choice on them. I have to many sets now and have to decide what to let go. I am thinking My Rogers Londoner 5 . I have two Rogers sets so I can let that one go. Here are some pics from yesterday.

I vote to keep it! Those sizes are way cool, and I like the red. Put a nice white reso on that bass drum with the "Slingerland" logo proudly displayed.

Yes, I will get a logo and I also teach a couple afternoons a week at guitar center and get heads at their cost but they don't have any 24" white heads in stock right now.they should soon.

I concur, smooth white emporers on top, smooth white ambassadors on the resos. The red will look 10 times richer. I can't imagine if all of those toms were set up together! The reverberations would be killer!

Can relate to this set a lot... I have similar sizes.. I hang the 13" off the 24" and snare stand the 14" forward of the 18".. Gets my ride in nice and close... As said .. a splash or crash off the forward tom mount would be an option..

Cheers

Finished up the 15" tom and had a rims mount and stand I could use to

position it next to the 18'. The original heads were not used I Guess. Must have been changed out when purchased. They were still with the set though not on the drums. I cleaned them up and put them on. They sound fine. 18" head is original too but has a repair from what must have been a cig ash drop. Still sounds fine. The other 18" original head has a pin hole in it, but can repair it underneath. I am still leaving off the bass tom mounts, and not using the back spurs to lighten it up. Also need the bass reso head and logo.

I am three lugs short of finishing the 13' tom, then I will install one tom mount on the bass drum and try a two up two down.

I finished up all the drums. I didnt install the mufflers in the three smaller toms. Actually found the leg mount I needed in my parts box. forgot I had it. I hate the Setomatic double tom mount. Drums are to far apart for my taste, and it doesnt seem to hold them evenly althought it looks even. Plus they are to high on the bass drum for me. Thats just me though. I dont mount any toms on my 24" bass drums. Love the single mount. I can actually get a good position from it for the 13" or 14". To use both the 13' and 14' as up toms I have to use snare stands, which works fine for me. I know I can always get some rims mounts as I have some nice double tom stands but not going to fool with it for this set. I am afraid to mount that 15' in the tri tom position for pics. I would die if I heard cracccck while it was on there. I dont think so but not taking the chance. I guess I am done for now until I put some bass heads on it.
