Welcome! to VDF. Would you post a pic of the badge and the paper tag, if there is one on the inside of the drum?

You need to move this to the Vintage Drums section as it is an American drums, unless it is English Rogers, Powertone maybe? With out the badge, it will take the Rogers guys to figure it out. You should also take some really clean pix as these are just too blurry. Use a quality camera instead of the phone cam...Are you looking at this one for purchase? The trods on the bottom hoop, is that what you are talking about? Is this an English Rogers? The t-rods with slotted heads are generally English.

The only American rogers snare drums worth over a thousand dollars U.S. are Rogers wooden Dynasonics, which are 10 lugs. That does not look like a U.S. made rogers shell to me.I have no Idea what an english Rogers wood dyna would go for,and I know not enough about english rogers to guess. That could have been a powertone,or an Ajax shell with Rogers lugs and strainer,I believe ajax made the english rogers shells,or it could be a recover.Better pics would help, and if you don't get enough answers here I would post it at Mike Dolbear, those guys would probably know some thing, one of the members posted pics of english rogers kit and snare drums and seemed very knowledgeable.Thinking about that thread makes me think that shell could be an english rogers for some reason.

My vote would be Not a english Rogers drum at all,True the strainer could be Rogers but the lettering looks wrong to me letters should be fatter looking, the lugs look like M.I.J. copys of rogers wrong mounting screws,t-rods are wrong, but the shell is the big give away to me it lookslike a 3 or 4 ply shell with rings and with the block of wood inside the shell i would think shell is made by Ajax or some other english made shell by a number of drum makers..I would say your drum should sell from 50.00 to 125.00 in U.S. money..Mikey
